Election countdown

A CLICK of a button and a few seconds was all it took to determine the order of candidates on the ballot paper for next month’s Swan Hill Rural City Council elections.

Eighteen candidates intend to run for council with 10 nominations in the Central Ward, four in the Lakes Ward and two nominations in each of the Murray-Mallee and Robinvale wards.

The 2012 Swan Hill Rural City Council elections will be conducted entirely by post and with one month to go, postal ballot packs will be sent to households between October 9 and 11.
