PHOTOGRAPHER Greg Cruickshank wants to keep council looking at the bigger
picture when it comes Swan Hill’s future.
Mr Cruickshank is hoping to
achieve a favourable election result this month for the fourth time in a
decade.
First elected to Swan Hill Rural City Council’s Central Ward in 2003,
he has spent close to ten years on Council and three years as mayor, from 2009
to 2011.
Despite plenty of his time being spent in the public eye, Mr
Cruickshank describes himself as a private person who likes his space and his
own time.
“Hence my love of fishing, it’s good to get away and go camping of
fishing, and it’s battery charging,” he said.
The father of three said his
main reason for putting his name on the ballot paper this year was his
continuing passion for Swan Hill.
“This is my home, it’s where I brought up
a family and it’s so pleasing to have family around you,” he said.
“This is
what makes Swan Hill such a great place to live — it’s good for families and
there is opportunity.”
