IN LESS than one month’s time, VCE and VET students will be anxiously filing into school halls and classrooms to undertake their final school exams.
Between November 1 and 22, secondary students from Swan Hill College and St Mary MacKillop College will be examined on everything from english and maths to hospitality and dance, depending on their individual selection of subjects.
St Mary MacKillop College year 12 student Leah McDonald said good preparation could limit the difficulty of the examination period.
“The amount of work I’m doing has increased,” she said.
“But I’ve been trying to keep it consistent throughout the year so it wouldn’t be such a big bump coming into exams.
“And especially without having netball it’s easier because you get your Saturdays back.”
While the lack of outside distractions presents more time for study, Swan Hill College student Katie Hepburn said having ways of channelling study anxiety was crucial.
