In the lead-up to this year’s local government election, voters are urged to
ensure their voting material is returned by Friday.
Completed ballot papers
must reach the Returning Officer by 6pm on Friday, October 26 or they cannot be
counted.
Ballot packs containing voting material were mailed to enrolled
voters from Tuesday, October, 2012.
Voters who have not received their
ballot pack should call the Returning Officer on (03) 5032 1411 immediately to
arrange a replacement.
The returning officer, Tamara Matthews said voters
must post their completed ballot paper inside the declaration envelope provided
with their ballot packs.
“If it’s getting too late to return completed
ballot material by post, voters can deliver it in person,” Ms Matthews
said.
Ballot material can be hand delivered to the Returning Officer at Town
Hall during business hours and until 8pm Thursday.
