Ready, steady, grow!

EXPECT to see local men sporting more facial hair in the coming month — Thursday marks the starts of ‘Movember’.

The joint fundraiser for The Prostate Cancer Foundation and beyondblue aims to raise funds and awareness for men’s health, and is growing in both popularity and facial hair each year.

Whether it’s the pencil, Chopper Reid, handlebars, or just a regular furry lip couch you’re sporting, it all goes toward a good cause.

Charlie Gray’s head chef Lee Hockley will shave his top lip for the final time on Wednesday, in order to enter the race with a clean slate.

Last time he took part in the fundraiser four years ago he opted for a traditional straight moustache, but this year he is looking to mix things up a bit.
