Outgoing CEO looks for new challenges

AFTER almost seven years of service to the Gannawarra Shire Council, chief
executive officer Rosanne Kava has handed in her resignation.

The long-term
employee said she was sad to be leaving the shire but felt it was time for a
change.

While she will conclude her CEO role with the Gannawarra Shire
Council at the end of the month, Ms Kava hasn’t given an indication as to her
future career prospects.

“I intend to explore other opportunities and I look
forward to new challenges in my career,” she said.

Residing locally in Swan
Hill and with a CEO vacancy at the Swan Hill Rural City Council, there is
speculation that Ms Kava may have her sights on that role.

“I hope to
continue to work in the local government sector and I’m looking to see what is
available,” Ms Kava said, noting she hadn’t applied for the Swan Hill position
at this stage.
