Bridge closures

STANDARDISED closures of the Swan Hill bridge and other Murray River lift-span
crossings are now underway.

For the next month, Roads and Maritime Services
(RMS) will trial two new lift times, from 9.30am to 10am and 2.30pm to 3pm, to
allow river traffic to pass through crossings at Swan Hill, Nyah, and
Tooleybuc.

The scheduled lifts will only take place on weekdays, and only if
there are bookings for those times.

The trial is part of a proposal to
regulate the bridge lift times of bridges over the Murray River in order to
reduce road traffic disruption and allow motorists and river traffic to better
plan their trips.
