CASTLE Donnington resident Brian Ostergaard has had a passion for tractors for as long as he can remember.
Having grown up on dairy and cropping properties, the Danish national built his first tractor when he was 19.
It was during his early teenage years that his interest in tractor pulling began to emerge.
“I started out using my dad’s farm tractor when I was 16,” Mr Ostergaard said.
“After I tripled its horsepower I think he got a bit worried about the whole thing.”
Utilising an old tractor in the shed, Mr Ostergaard began to build his own machine from scratch.
Having relocated to Australia in 1994, Mr Ostergaard’s hobby was put on hold for some time before he became reacquainted with the sport in 2010.
“A tractor came up for sale and I bought it,” Mr Ostergaard said.
