Demons dominate Balranald

EXCITING play during the first quarter showed promise of a very even game, with
both teams defending strongly.

Demons goal defence Louisa Curran was putting
a lot of pressure on her opponent Brogan Carter, making her earn every pass and
gathering anything that missed the net.

At the other end of the court new
recruit Denise Snyder and her sister Melissa were reading each other very well
and making great position in and around the goal circle for United.

Ever-reliable wing attack Teina Lusty continued to poke holes in Balranald’s
defence with her anticipation and accurate passes.

At the first break, United
were only up by three goals but it was becoming clear that they wanted the
points from this game.
