SHORT course drivers from across Victoria took to Chisholm Reserve over the Queen’s Birthday long weekend.
The Swan Hill Short Course Club hosts a round of the Victorian Short Course Association championships on the June long weekend every year and it’s their main annual event.
The 46 starters — from as far away as Maffra, Ballarat, Melbourne, Geelong and Albury — completed about 10 runs of the twin-track circuit.
Short course club member Barry Middleton said each of the twin tracks was about 2km in length with a cross-over bridge in the middle.
“So you start on one lane and you finish on the other,” he said.
Supervised by the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport, Middleton said the weather had been kind to the event.
“The days were beautiful and good for racing,” he said.
“The track got a little bit dusty on Saturday night and we had to knock off early because of poor vision. But we had it rewatered and it held up well [on the Sunday],” he said.
