Locals perform well at state championships

THE Central Murray Football Netball League’s 13 and under and 15 and under sides played in the Victorian State Championships in Melbourne on Sunday. 

League manager Scott Wishart said both teams were competitive on the day with the 15 and under side missing a spot in the finals by just four goals. 

He said all the players represented the CMFNL with distinction and thanked the coaches and support staff who made it possible for them to play.

Results — 13 and under: CMFNL 12 defeated Hampden 9; CMFNL 6 defeated by Gippsland 19; CMFNL 11 defeated Frankston District 9; CMFNL 9 defeated by Albury 12; CMFNL 8 defeated by Geelong 16; 15 and under: CMFNL 6 defeated by Geelong 18; CMFNL 13 defeated Albury 7; CMFNL 11 defeated by Sale 13; CMFNL 11 defeated by Ballarat 17; CMFNL 15 defeated Caulfield and District 12.
