Petrol theft

A MASSIVE amount of fuel has been reported stolen from a property west of Swan
Hill.

Police told The Guardian 1500 litres of petrol was stolen from a tank
on the property that was not visible to passers-by.

The incident was reported
to have occured on a Devine Road property, between Swan Hill and Ultima, between
Friday and Sunday.

The stolen fuel was valued at $2200 and was taken from a
tank raised above head-height.

Police said a padlock had to be removed to
access the tank.

Senior Sergeant Gary Hughes said any person in the area
during the weekend who witnessed suspicious activity should contact
police.

He said there were no residents in the immediate area, nor fences on
the property due to the property owners undertaking maintenance.

information is urged to contact police or crime stoppers.
