Moloney returns for Swans

Swan Hill v NNW United

XAVIER Moloney returns to the hot seat for Swan Hill this week after representing Vic Country last Saturday.

Moloney’s task will be to lift the Swans following a disappointing six and a half goal loss to Mallee Eagles at Lalbert while he was away.

The Swans host Nyah Nyah West United at the showgrounds in a crucial game to keep their finals hopes alive.

The Mallee Eagles also have a clearly winnable game when they travel up to Balranald, meaning the two-point buffer between the clubs will almost certainly be maintained by 5pm tomorrow night.

Moloney’s return will be important and will strengthen the midfield where Swan Hill will get its most crucial advantage.

This game will be a prelude to an important month of football for the Swans.

After next week’s bye they tackle Woorinen away, then Balranald at the showgrounds before travelling to Kerang a fortnight out from the finals.

It’s definitely a tough draw, emphasising the importance of the Eagles win last week.

From here on in, Swan Hill can’t afford any slip-ups.

TIP: Swan Hill by 45 points.
