Fight for a finals berth

BOTH Mallee Eagles and Kerang are fighting tooth and nail for a berth in the Central Murray Football Netball League’s A grade finals series this season.

So when the Eagles host the Blues at Lalbert tomorrow fans can expect a fiercely competitive match that will go down to the wire.

The Mallee Eagles are in fourth spot with seven wins.

They sit four points and a significant chunk of percentage ahead of Kerang, with Nyah Nyah West United and Tyntynder both in striking distance of Kerang on five wins.

Kerang’s Courtney Wright and Mallee Eagles young gun Emelia Bett have been among their sides’ better players this season so far as have Jaclyn Rivett for Mallee Eagles and Katelyn Wright for Kerang.

Both young stars and Eagles’ Deborah Parsons are among the top goal shooters in A grade this year.
