A WATCHEM WEST man has been charged with 24 offences after police siezed drugs and property with an estimated value of $1 million.
A 25-year-old male has been remanded in custody to appear in Bendigo Magistrates’ Court in three months’ time.
He was charged with multiple counts of handling stolen goods, multiple counts of theft, cannabis trafficking and cultivation, and firearms offences.
He is also facing a charge of possession of equipment used to make identification documents.
Police said the stolen property involved related to a significant number of local farm thefts in Buloke and surrounding shires.
The man was arrested after police received a tip off from a member of the public leading to the identification of what police allege to be a stolen truck and other stolen goods.
He will appear at Bendigo Magistrates’ Court for a committal mention on October 16.
Investigations are ongoing.
