A TRUCK driver was lucky to escape serious injury when his truck collided with powerlines in wet conditions near Sea Lake on Friday evening, cutting of the power to more than 500 homes.
Acting captain of the Sea Lake Country Fire Authority Darren Allan said two Sea Lake CFA crews responded to the rollover, which forced the closure of the Calder Highway in both directions for most of the night.
While live power lines fell within close proximity to the highway and the cabin of the truck, the vehicle’s single occupant walked away from the crash unscathed.
