Important game for Woorinen

WOORINEN faces an important test when it takes on the undefeated Swan Hill in the Central Murray Football Netball League’s A grade match of the round tomorrow.

The in form Swans sit on top of the ladder with a big percentage gap on Tooleybuc Manangatang which is also undefeated after 11 appearances in 2013.

The Tigers appear to be the main challenger to the top two sides’ dominance at this stage, with Woorinen having established a clear break in third spot.

Against the top two, however, Woorinen has already struggled twice losing by 18 goals to Swan Hill in round four and by 18 again to the Saints in round 11.

The results make tomorrow’s game a critical one for Naomi Lewis’ side.

A big performance from the league’s leading goal shooter, Tayla Stanley, will be critical to the Tigers’ chances, while the Swans will look for another big game from Ingrid Condely in goals — currently second to Stanley for goals in 2013.

Other players likely to have an impact on the game include Kelsey McCoy and Madeleine Foott for Swan Hill and Amy Cadd and Chelsea Bird for Woorinen.
