Tigers’ equation

Woorinen v Swan Hill

WOORINEN needs to keep on winning to ensure a top three finish.

Five rounds out from finals, the equation is pretty clear and it starts tomorrow at home to Swan Hill in the Central Murray Football Netball League match of the round.

The Tigers are a game in front of the Mallee Eagles but well behind on percentage, and hence can’t afford to slip up as the in-form Eagles are breathing down their necks.

Despite a long injury list the Tigers were able to easily account for Nyah Nyah West last week.

Big forward Glenn Boyd was again in-form with eight goals and will need to be well-held by the Swan Hill defence.

An interesting game should unfold in the midfield, with Callan Beasy likely to have the better of the rucking duels and Swans coach Xavier Moloney likely to be the primary benefactor.

Swan Hill would have been stung by the shock loss to United but Woorinen has too much to play for to let this slip.

TIP: Woorinen by 12 points.
