Time running out for the Bulldogs

THE well of season 2013 is quickly drying out for Tyntynder.

The Bulldogs sit in sixth place just a game behind Kerang with four rounds to go.

Tomorrow’s game against the Mallee Eagles will go a long way to deciding whether that gap can be bridged.

After the Eagles, the Bulldogs play Cohuna at home, Nyah Nyah West United away and a tough encounter against the top of the ladder Swan Hill side in the last round.

Mallee Eagles path to the finals will also be tricky with the Lalbert club playing Koondrook Barham in round 16 before taking on Tooleybuc Manangatang and then having the bye in the last round.

Louisa Frost’s Tyntynder finds itself in the unusual position of sixth spot a month out from the finals for the first time in several years.

A finals berth seems a likely prospect for the Mallee Eagles who are three games ahead of the Bulldogs.

Emelia Bett and Deborah Parsons will be crucial in goal for the Eagles tomorrow, while Kate Morrison has been a mainstay of Tyntynder’s defence.

When the sides met back in round five it was the Eagles that came away with a thrilling two goal win.

Other games see Swan Hill hosting Balranald, Nyah NyahWest taking on Kerang, Cohuna hosting Lake Boga and the Saints up against the Raiders.
