WITH the official declaration of the electoral seat of Mallee announced this week, Nationals candidate Andrew Broad is readying his team for work.
The
Australian Electoral Commission made the announcement on Monday, while an
official event to finalise the results took place on Wednesday in
Mildura.
The new member for Mallee was on a yacht in Sydney Harbour yesterday
when he told The Guardian he was glad to get on with the task at hand.
“I’m
satisfied we’ve finally got the polls declared because now I can get the keys to
the office,” Mr Broad said. As far as main priorities as he began his term, Mr
Broad said there were a few issues at the top of the agenda.”I’m planning to
advocate for black spot funding for the seat, for better mobile coverage,” he
said. “Another priority is to lock away the Sunraysia Modernisation Project and
secure that investment.”
