Living in limbo

RESIDENTS living near a Lake Boga property recently destroyed by fire continue to hold grave concerns for their health and safety.

With the home now known
to contain burnt asbestos as well as having loose roofing sheets, neighbours
Gary and Deborah Foster fear a lack of communication between residents and
relevant authorities has left them unsure of their safety.

Mr Foster said up
to nine iron roofing sheets had blown into their backyard, which is next to the
burnt house.Last Thursday, Swan Hill Rural City Council issued an emergency
order to remove the loose roofing from the Boga Street home.
