FORMER Nyah District player Trent Thompson is settling into his first season for Melbourne Cricket Club.
After playing round one of the summer for Nyah against Tooleybuc Manangatang, Thompson has settled into Melbourne’s fourth division side in Victorian Premier Cricket.
The fast bowler has played a mixture of fourths and thirds so far.
When he signed with Melbourne at the start of the summer, Thompson joined former Swan Hill District Cricket Association player Jack Paynter who has been a regular fixture for the MCC in recent seasons.
An all-rounder, Paynter is currently playing in the MCC’s A grade side.
