St Mary’s win on first innings

ST MARY’S Tyntynder took out a first innings win in its under 17 Swan Hill District Cricket Association fixture over Woorinen on Friday.

Austin McKerrow retired on 60 not out and Brent Daniels was not out on 57 as St Mary’s put on 215 in their first innings.

Woorinen’s first innings netted only 91, with D Violi taking three wickets.

Under 14s

RSL proved too strong for Swan Hill Lakers at the showgrounds.

Batting first, Swan Hill Lakers made 97.

R Denham was the best bowler for RSL with 2/9 off three overs.

In reply, RSL made 174 with A Ralph and Denham not out on 39 and three respectively at the end.

Ultima TUF went down to Sea Lake Woomelang after the visitors compiled an impressive first innings total of 226 at Alan Garden Memorial Reserve.

In reply, UTUF managed only 25 with 15 extras.

They fared little better in the second innings with only 35 runs scored.

St Mary’s Tyntynder won outright in its match against Woorinen.
