Round seven conclusion

ROUND seven of the Swan Hill District Cricket Association (SHDCA) will be completed tomorrow.

Swan Hill starts in a strong position against St Mary’s Tyntynder, Nyah District has the upper hand over Lakers, Woorinen has the runs on the board against Tooleybuc Manangatang and RSL is in control against Ultima TUF.

Swan Hill v St Mary’s Tyntynder

SWAN HILL resumes at 3/170 against St Mary’s Tyntynder tomorrow.

After dismissing St Mary’s for 110 at the showgrounds last week, Swan Hill added a solid 170 off a touch under 40 overs.

Harry Clewett and Matt Lanigan are the not out batsmen, with 75 and 31 respectively.

If a big day is had all round, Swan Hill has the potential to push for an outright win.

Lakers v Nyah District

NYAH District will see to press home an advantage against Lakers when their match resumes at Lake Boga tomorrow.

Nyah dismissed Lakers for just 68 last week and was on track to double the total by stumps.

With 39, Justin Toomey was the top-scorer of the Nyah batsmen last week.

Rohan Shadbolt and Mick Boulton are Nyah’s not-out batsmen.

Woorinen v Tooleybuc Manangatang 

WOORINEN has the upper hand against Tooleybuc Manangatang after smashing a massive first innings total of 327 last week.

With Taylor Cameron opening and making 149, Woorinen immediately had the upper hand.

Tooleybuc Manangatang will resume at 2/13, 14 overs into its innings.

Their efforts to get back into the game will start with not out batsmen Brandon Norfolk and Adrian Gordon.

RSL v Ultima TUF

RSL posted a strong first innings total of 281 against Ultima TUF last week and immediately had the visitors under the pump in their first innings at North Park. 

Opening bowlers Duane Bruton and Brenton Caldwell soon had RSL on top, with Bruton claiming the wicket of Andy Abbott for a duck thanks to the wicket-keeping work of Dwayne Hinton.

Caldwell took the wickets of Adam Raggett and Toby O’Grady, thanks to catches from Dwayne Birch and Paul Munro.

Not out batsmen Daniel Leach and Kyle Symons will look to form a partnership when play resumes.
