Mates, Pigs dominate

OLD Mates and Bush Pigs in Red dominated line honours across the five days of the 2013 Murray Marathon.

Old Mates claimed line honours on day one and day four, while Bush Pigs in Red were first to finish on days three and five.

Old Mates completed the leg second on day three and five, while Bush Pigs in red finished third on day one and second on day four.

Brett Greenwood was second on day one and third on day five, with Ross and Phill and The Red Murray Hurries each claiming a third place, on days three and four.

The interim results were released on Wednesday, after the final leg of the event on New Year’s Eve.

Other awards included Kani Paddling Gear (the Margaret Baker Handicap); Brett Greenwood (fastest outright boat); Sam Dinkgreve (junior 14); Crusaders (junior 16); Fitness to Witness (junior 18); Camberwell Grammar under 18a (Boys Schools Cup); and MLC Blue Bunnies (Girls Schools Cup).
