THREE local girls will represent the region when they join the Vic Country under 18s football team in coming weeks.

Luca Gallo and Tenay Fellows from Swan Hill and Bella Ayre from Kerang were among those chosen to play for Victoria at the under 18 girls’ national carnival in May.
The girls were presented with their jumpers prior to Easter, a moment Fellows said was “very exciting”.
The girls participated in three training sessions prior to being selected.
“We had one in February and two in March which were pretty tough,” Fellows said.
The girls found out they had been successful in their quest to represent their state by phone earlier in the month.
The national carnival will be held in Canberra next month.
