PAST and present stars from across the Central Murray region will feature in The Guardian’s footy card promotion starting Monday.
One past and two present CMFNL players are featured from every club, with the cards available at a newagents, supermarkets and newspaper offices across the region.
Two cards will be released weekly until the end of the home and away rounds.
Tyntynder’s Mark Corrie is among those to feature in the series, with the Swan Hill North Primary School teacher believing his students will be very interested in collecting his card — but not for reasons you might think.
“I’m pretty sure they’re looking forward to getting my card and using it as a dart board,” he laughed.
To start your limited edition local “footy card set”, simply buy Monday’s and Wednesday’s Guardian or The Northern Times/Cohuna Farmers’ Weekly on a Tuesday and Friday.
The coupon published in these papers is then redeemable for that day’s card at our offices or selected newsagents and supermarkets throughout the region.
