Youth success continuing

SWAN Hill Soccer Club’s youth side continues to defy the odds in Bendigo Amateur Soccer League action.

The Swans enjoyed a crushing 5-2 win over Golden City at home on Sunday, ensuring they held on to second place on the ladder.

Swan Hill has won four of its five games, only blotting the copybook with a 1-1 draw against Epsom a fortnight ago.

For the youth side, a top-of-the-table clash awaits against Strathdale this weekend for the most keenly anticipated BASL fixture so far this season.

The Swans’ division two team continues to improve with a 6-2 win over Golden City seeing the side climb into fifth spot.

Their next assignment is a daunting one, however, with Strathdale leading the competition in the second division.

This Sunday’s fixtures will be held at Strathdale Park.
