THE stage is set for the Swan Hill City and District Netball Association’s grand finals from 4.15pm this afternoon.
Fever and Magic will compete for the ultimate prize in the Grade 5/6 decider, while Firebirds and Fever will vie for the 18 and under title.
Association secretary Nicole Hawkins said both sides had claims to favouritism in the Grade 5/6 grand final.
“The last time they played each other, Fever won by five goals… [But] Magic are a tall team and match up quite well to the pace of the Fever players,” she said.
“Both teams have performed terrifically during the season with Magic winning all but three games and Fever only dropping two.”
Hawkins said the teams’ performances were a credit to their coaches, Alison Wright (Fever) and Erin Devlin (Magic).
