Blues claim first innings points

RSL claimed first innings points against Swan Hill in Swan Hill District Cricket Association Under 17 action at the weekend.

With a top-score of 34 from Brodie Larkings, the Swans posted 94 in the first innings against the Blues.

A steady stream of contributors saw RSL get to 109 however, with Jack Cook top-scoring with 21.

RSL’s Alex Ralph (5-14) was the match’s best bowler, while Swans Zane Saville, Jarrod Taylor and Nathan McInerney claimed two wickets each.

Northern Razorbacks claimed two bonus points in their win over Sea Lake Woomelang up at Tooleybuc.

The Razorbacks batted deep with Jacob Lister (32), Joel Walsh (27) and Ben Shadbolt (28) all making good scores as the home side went on to compile a total of 140.

With Razorback Darcy Conway snapping up four wickets for just 10 runs, Sea Lake Woomelang crumbled to be all out for 60.

Darren Rushton’s 85 helped Woorinen to 114 away to St Mary’s Tyntynder.

With Austin McKerrow top-scoring with 46 and Connor Power getting 39, St Mary’s managed 118 in reply to take the win.

Under 14s

ST MARY’S Tyntynder successfully chased down Sea Lake Woomelang’s 104 when the sides met at Sea Lake for their Under 14s match this week.

Connor Micheal and Tyson McKenzie both scored 18 to help Sea Lake but a top-score of 21 to Riley Daniels helped St Mary’s match the total.

Sea Lake’s Jackson O’Meara and St Mary’s Tyntynder bowler Frank Violi captured two wickets each.

Ultima TUF could not chase down RSL’s total of 187.

Zac O’Meara top-scored with 35 for the Blues, while Angus Hinton was Ultima TUF’s best bowler with two wickets.

While Kade Benfield managed 27 for RSL, it wasn’t enough as the Blues got bowled out for 72.

Northern Razorbacks’ batting was far too strong for Woorinen.

The Tigers made 103, but it wasn’t enough with the Razorbacks scoring a whopping 264.

Tom Domaille’s 89, Lachlan Wooding’s 50 and Jordan King’s 32 were the highlights at the top of the order for Razorbacks.
