LOCAL industry is reacting positively to the recent Free Trade Agreement with China, which will see export tariffs reduced in the coming years.
Dairy, almonds, wine, stone fruit and beef are all set to benefit.
Earlier this week the Federal Government said 14 commercial agreements were signed, covering projects potentially worth more than $20 billion in total.
Dairy tariffs will be phased out over 4-11 years, with the 15 per cent tariff on infant milk formula phased out over the next four years.
“We certainly welcome the move to reduce tarriffs,” Glowrey’s Dairy owner Matt Glowrey said.
