A swag of medals

SWAN Hill Little Athletics Centre representatives captured a swag of medals at two separate regional carnivals held last weekend.

At the Cohuna Little Athletics open day last Sunday, Swan Hill athletes won a total of 39 medals in a haul which included 19 gold, nine bronze and 10 silver.

Jonty Worner led the way in the Under 6 boys’ events with a quadruple gold medal-winning effort, while Brodie van Heumen and Max Burns starred with triple gold medal-winning performances.

The strong overall result for the centre was underlined by six record-breaking performances from five of its representatives.
