Get set to party

THE New Year is set to go off with a bang in Swan Hill.

Plans for celebrations are currently being finalised, with festivities set to take place at Riverside Park from 6pm New Years Eve.

There will be fireworks at 9.30pm and again at midnight.

Swan Hill business owner and musician Craig Harvey has taken on the responsibility along with Lindsay Bell to organise the fun-filled night.

Mr Harvey said the evening will have plenty of activities for the children including a rock climbing wall, horse and carriage rides, face painting, balloon art and much more.

“We want it to be as family friendly as possible,” he said.

A special show will also be performed for the children.

In addition to this, live entertainment will take place throughout the evening with Melbourne-based band Def Replikka — a tribute to Def Leppard — as the headline act.
