Coffee lovers swarm on van

AMID all the problems Swan Hill residents found themselves on Monday, there was one that people were particularly unprepared for — going through the day without their daily caffeine fix.

With no electricity, hardly anyone was able to make their own morning cuppa and local coffee shops were forced to close their doors.

Lucky for the many foggy-minded locals, mobile barista Riley Guerin and his Bean Hopper Coffee Van were able to provide the disgruntled masses with their daily blend.

“Considering I was pretty much the only coffee outlet open for the day, I pretty much had everyone there with me,” Mr Guerin said.

“I ended up making probably, all up, 350 coffees — I probably do about maybe 100 to 150 in a normal day.”
