BALRANALD and Wakool have largely missed out in election pledges for their communities.
With the New South Wales election just a few days away, candidates have been travelling the electorate attempting to convince locals to cast their number one vote to their name.
Eight people have put their hand up for the seat of Murray.
Of those, seven are located in the far east of the 107,000 square metre electorate at Griffith, while Greens candidate Jordanna Glassman lives in western Sydney.
And it seems Balranald and Wakool local government areas have lost out when it comes to tailored election promises.
To date, Nationals candidate Adrian Piccoli is the only one to have pledged new spending in Balranald – $150,000 for the skate park and some funding for upgrades to the science labs at Balranald Central School, a project worth more than $300,000.
Apart from this, a ‘wait and see what happens’ approach has been taken by all candidates.
