Hay ‘porn’ will rise again

ORGANISERS of the “pornographic” hay bale structures near Lake Charm are now selling memorabilia of their hay art, promising to donate the proceeds to charity.

Lake Charm residents Bruce Cook and Melinda Davison, the people behind the hay art sculptures of a bull servicing a cow, have taken to Facebook to announce they’ll be making shirts, bumper stickers and stubby-holders with logos representing the hay art.

Ms Davison put a notice up on social media that she was taking expressions of interests from people so she could get numbers of how much hay porn memorabilia to print out.

She said she had been receiving requests for the products ever since printing out three of the shirts for herself, Mr Cook and his wife.

The builder of the hay art, Mr Cook, previously told The Guardian he would donate all the money raised out of the hay art to the Royal Children’s Hospital.

However, he received a bit of a scare when Tuesday’s windstorms, which battered the Swan Hill district and surrounds, toppled the hay art over.

Ms Davison said the sculptures “will rise again… brighter, bolder and stronger than before”.
