EXPERIENCED jockey Dean Yendall cemented the prestigious Murray Downs Golf and Country Club Swan Hill June Racing Carnival Leading Jockey title when he took out Race 8 yesterday.
Yendall was aboard Jennyfromtheblock in the 975m Guardian Court Hero Sprint, the second last race of a bumper three-day program.
The four-year-old mare was first home for Morphetville trainer Lloyd Kennewell.
Yendall’s four wins, four seconds and a third saw him named the leading jockey of the Swan Hill carnival for the fourth consecutive year.
He said he had enjoyed the carnival.
“It’s been a great three days, Swan Hill has been lucky with the weather,” he said.
The leading jockey’s other successes came aboard Experimental and Luskin Belle in Race 3 and 7 on Saturday, and on Vertical Hold in Friday’s second race.
