Swans struggle in youth encounter

SWAN Hill endured a long day in Bendigo Amateur Soccer League’s youth championship, when the Swans faced Golden City on Sunday.

The Swans struggled at Ken Harrison Sporting Complex, as City found the back of the net on six occasions to move into second spot with a 4-1 record after five games.

Unable to score a goal on Sunday, Swan Hill remains on the bottom of the ladder without a win in the eight team competition.

In the later game, Swan Hill won the Division 2 match 5-1 over City.

Joe Pino hit the back of the net twice for the Swans, with Kyle Smith, Brendan Blackmore and Michael Kadar all scoring singles.

Swan Hill’s second win sees them in fifth place on the Division 2 ladder.
