ANTHONY Fedele and Daniel Fedele led the way in their respective categories at the weekend’s Swan Hill Automotive Group Cup, taking the chequered flag in their events to be the best performed local drivers at Chisholm Reserve on Sunday afternoon.
The pair joined what Swan Hill Kart Club president Scott Hansen said was a “strong local representation”, with drivers from across Victoria taking to the popular track for the annual event.
The local club celebrated some strong performances on top of the Fedeles’ wins, he said.
“We had several other competitors on the podium and our juniors drove really well,” Hansen said.
Hansen said the track had again proved popular with visiting drivers.
“They love our track because of its unique domed bank and enjoy our facilities,” he said.
Swan Hill drivers support other clubs’ events in turn, with a contingent heading to Rochester this weekend.
About four local drivers will compete in the Rochester leg of the five-round Power Series, Victoria’s biggest karting event behind the state championships.
