LOCAL band Yung Gunz will battle it out against a field of eight next month in the grand final of national reality talent show Band Wars.
The band has dominated four rounds to take its place on the finalist stage, which has been filmed at Musicland in Melbourne and aired on the Aurora channel every Saturday,
The young band’s five members include Shannon Bishop, Callum McNab, Jason Forster, Lachie Dunn and Eli Keating.
Lead singer Shannon is eager to show the music community that despite their ages, they are serious about their music and are not just a cover band.
“We feel it is time to take the next step” she said.
Band manager Stuart Holt said he couldn’t be prouder of the kids’ effort.
“The band has definitely improved their stage presence since the first performance at Band Wars. They have competed against a total of 43 bands from all over Australia.
“Much of their competition are more established bands, some are semi professional performing four nights a week. Our kids are the youngest in the competition.”
