Market Day is here again

PREPARE for the hustle and bustle of Swan Hill’s annual Market Day this weekend, with a huge street party in the CBD, lots of activities for kids and shopping, shopping and more shopping.

For the second time in its 35-year history, Campbell Street will be closed off to traffic to make way for the annual event, to be held from 9am to 2pm this Saturday.

In honour of the event, some of the businesses have already started their sales.

Expect fun and entertainment for the whole family, and with every $20 you spend you will go into the draw to win $1000 Swan Hill Dollars.

The Youth Arts Festival will also take place during Market Day, with artwork on show on McCallum Street, as well as performances in Campbell Street throughout the day.

“It’s going to be an awesome day, lots of fun for all ages, young and old, we’ve got entertainment for everyone,” Swan Hill Incorporated marketing coordinator Julie Wiggins said.

As usual, parking is free and the day promises to be an absolute ripper.

For more on Market Day, pick up a copy of Wednesday’s Guardian (October 21).
