River Kings come to Swan Hill

SONIC Speedway will host the All Star Series and King of the River tournament’s this Saturday night.

With the introduction of the ‘King of the River’, this will also be Round 4 of the 5 round mini-series.

The River Run is over the first 5 shows which are all based along the Murray River and has $1500 winners purse.

With three different A main winners across the past three shows, it proves the racing has never been closer.

Going into Saturday night Brenten Farrer has a slight 34 point lead for the Series Championship and also a marginal 17 point lead for the King of the River.

Farrer’s #V34 Frijtek ART has been on the podium two out of the last three shows as well as picking up a Quick Time Award.

Young guns Dion Bellman, driving the Hickman’s Tree Maintenance #V40, and Corey Lincoln in the Lincolns Earth Moving #V8 have both returned from the Australian 360 Sprintcar Title in Darwin in September with valuable experience and some added confidence.

Both are capable of taking out an A main win and both hungry to get one.

Brothers Paul and Chris Solomon are both making a return to Sonic Speedway.

Both have shown exceptional speed this season and chasing each other for position on track; this must always guarantee interesting conversation at the breakfast table the following morning.

Jed Bell’s SA18 is just one of the teams making the drive over from South Australia and could be rewarded with a podium.

Bell destroyed his car last weekend at Murray Bridge Speedway and the team have had to rebuild another for this weekend.

On track action starts from 5.30pm at Sonic Speedway, Swan Hill, tomorrow.
