Billy Goat Cup to continue

BALRANALD Football Netball Club is planning on making its Billy Goat Cup an annual tradition after another successful holding of the event this past weekend.

The club held its second ever Billy Goat Cup at Greenham Park on Saturday, with around 300 people joining in on the day’s novel activities and 150 goats being entered into the race.

The cup was won by goat number 27, the “Killarney Killer”, owned by the Scott family of Killarney Station who took out the $2000 prize money.

In the other competitions of the day, Euston’s Tony Waters won the dog jumping competition when his dog, Loui, leaped 2.4 metres high, while Balranald’s Cam Barrett guessed correctly when Simon the Cow would do his bunsiness (just after 4pm) to win the Cow Pad Lotto.
