A REMARKABLE turnout at Beverford Tavern on Wednesday night had more than 280 people attend the Glare Family Fundraiser, held to raise money for the children of Jo and Michael Glare who were killed in a car accident at the weekend.
Beverford Tavern owner Paul Kelly said it was great night.
“I am thankful to everyone who came to support the family, and to everyone who donated,” he said.
“We had approximately 280 people here, and there are still items to be auctioned online.”
Glare Family Fundraiser helper Yvonne Singleton said that she was overwhelmed by the community’s support on Wednesday night.
“Honestly how heartwarming it was to watch the community come together to support a family in need?” she said.
“$15,600 has been raised, and it is not finished yet, we are having more auctions online on our Facebook page
