Jason’s ‘epic’ journey

AN ex-Ironman endurance runner who averages 60 kilometres every day stopped over in Lake Boga this week as he attempts to run the continent of Australia.

Hawaiian Jason Lester began his mighty run in Perth at the end of March and has dubbed his 4000km journey an “epic experience”.

He is now following the Murray River, pulling 30 kilograms of equipment in a cart behind him at an average of about 8km/hr.

“It’s a blessing for my body to be able to run a marathon and some every day,” he said.

Mr Lester runs with no support crew and set off in the direction of Kerang yesterday after spending the night at the Lake Boga Pub.
