THE Swan Hill Kart Club is gearing up to host the 2016 Swan Hill Automotive Cup this weekend, with dozens of riders and their families flooding into the town to take part.
The Swan Hill Automotive Cup – which will be held at Chisholm Reserve all weekend – has been running for over 25 years and has drawn karters come from all over Victoria and interstate to race.
This year has been no exception, with Swan Hill Kart Club vice president Joe Dorigo reporting just over 70 karters had registered to compete this weekend.
They were expected to bring family members and friends as well, Dorigo said, due to the need for pit crews and other helpers.
“We’re excited about the level of response we’ve had with people attending,” Dorigo said.
