SILOS within the Mallee were illuminated in shades of green and red last month as part of a GrainCorp initiative which aimed to raise awareness of bowel cancer.
The Month of Light initiative, which coincided with Bowel Cancer Awareness Month, was led by local area manager for GrainCorp Jamey Staples.
The project saw three GrainCorp sites across the southern Mallee area take part in the awareness campaign, starting with Donald at the beginning of June.
The project then moved to Beulah and concluded in Hopetoun. Between 6pm and 8pm each night, the silos were bathed in bright colours of green and red.
