More road carnage on McCallum Street

AT least three people have been conveyed to hospital following a two-car collision at the notorious intersection between High Street and McCallum Street in Swan Hill about 2pm yesterday.

The Guardian understands one of the vehicles failed to give way while entering into McCallum Street from High Street.

Police, State Emergency Services and Country Fire Authority officers were all called to the scene of the incident, which was directly adjacent the new Logan Lodge aged care facility.

At least three people were taken into ambulances and conveyed to Swan Hill District Health in front of a crowd of onlookers.

It is the third accident to occur at the intersection this year and the second in only a matter of weeks.

Police continue to investigate the incident.
