SWAN Hill community members objecting to the council-approved development of a Coles Express service station in town are this week going to the state’s planning tribunal to present their case.
The Swan Hill Servo Objectors group are appealing Swan Hill Rural City Council’s decision to grant Coles Express a planning permit for the petrol station in the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT).
Three of the group’s members, Bruce and Judy Truelove and Beryl Lowe, have already gone to Melbourne for the hearing, which begins tomorrow and may carry on into Friday.
The objectors have commissioned a consultant’s submission as well as a town planner to represent them at the hearing.
