AS V.C.E students head into the final stages of their high school education, local organisation Chances For Children (Chances) have announced funding assistance to students planning on university.
University education for rural students can become an expensive exercise once accommodation, board, meals and travel expenses are factored in.
Chances in the Southern Mallee offer a tailored scholarship that assists recipients in a meaningful way over the entire length of the course if required.

“The Chances main fund assists students by providing a flexible scholarship that is tailored to each applicants needs,” she said.
“Our scholarships fill the gaps that are not covered by HECS or Centrelink.
